
Professor Sissy Hatzichristou, Professor of School Psychology and Director of the Graduate Program in School Psychology, Department of Psychology, participated in the 60th Anniversary event of the Doctoral School Psychology Program at the University of California, Berkeley, on May 3, 2025.
Following an honorary invitation from Professor Frank Worrell, Director of the School Psychology Program at UC Berkeley and Past President of the American Psychological Association, as well as from the members of the Organizing Committee, Professor Hatzichristou participated in the Presidential Panel on academic and professional trajectories and achievements in elected leadership positions. The panel focused on Presidents of national, American, and international professional organizations in Psychology and School Psychology (including the California Association of School Psychologists, National Association of School Psychologists, American Psychological Association, and International Association of School Psychology), with panelists being alumni of the program who have served as Presidents.
Professor Hatzichristou, an alumna of the UC Berkeley School Psychology Program, is also Past President of the International Association of School Psychology. Following the highly engaging presentations, a productive discussion was held with current students of the program. The event was attended by the Dean of the School, faculty members, alumni, and many doctoral students in School Psychology.
