History of the Program
The first graduate program was established in 1993 (FEK 952/31-12-1993) at the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology with two tracks:
- Clinical Psychology and
- School Psychology
The Graduate Program in School Psychology was initially established in 1996 (FEK 305/7-5-1996), while in the following years the Program structure was enriched (FEK 285/07-03-2005, FEK 214/22-2-2007). When the Department of Psychology was established (PD 85/2013), the MA in School Psychology was re-established with two tracks:
- "School Psychology" and
- "Applications of Psychology in the school community" (FEK 952/B/1993, 305/B΄/1996, 285/B΄/2005, 214/B΄/2007, 795/B΄2015, FEK 3825/B΄/2018, FEK 4571/B΄/2018, 4086/B΄/2023, FEK 4496/B΄/2023, FEK 5238/B΄/2023, FEK 6117/B΄/2023). The Curriculum of the Program was enriched, and Practice/Internship was included. In 2019 the MA in School Psychology meets the criteria set by the Specific Scientific Committee of the Greek Ministry of Education for determining the relevance of doctoral and postgraduate degrees with the subject of School Psychology (FEK 1152/5-4-2019). At the same time, pedagogical and teaching competence is recognized to the graduates of the MA in School Psychology (FEK 1656/B/2020, FEK 2664/B'/2020).
